Pushpin altitude with Bing Maps Ajax v7 in BirdsEye mode RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

    Setting the altitude of a pushpin in BirdsEye mode using  Bing Maps Ajax v7 doesn’t seem to work for me.  Has anyone been able to get this to work?  Here is the code I am using, am I doing it correctly?

    I create the map like this:

         var MM = Microsoft.Maps;
            map = new MM.Map(document.getElementById("myMap"), {
                credentials: "<my key here>",
                center: new MM.Location(51.46117933094501, -0.9259434789419174),
                mapTypeId: Microsoft.Maps.MapTypeId.birdseye,
                zoom: 18
            });

    And then when I want to add a pushpin, I do it like this:

            var loc = new MM.Location();
            loc.latitude = 51.46117933094501;
            loc.longitude = -0.9259434789419174;
            loc.altitude = 10.0;
            loc.altitudeReference = "ground";

            var pin = new MM.Pushpin(loc);
            map.entities.push(pin);

    Setting the loc.altitude value do any value doesn't have any effect.

    Thanks.

    Regards,
    Mark
