Changing my database user RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have recently created a new SQL Azure database and having done so I have looked at the connection string to find that the user I am to login with is web1 and that I should specify what the password is.

    I do not know the web1 user password. How can I change this password? or how can I add another user to this database so that I can use this new user to login to my database?

  • Tony,

    To reset the password for the logical server admin, go to the Azure portal, click SQL Servers, select the server from the list, and then click Reset Password. To reset the password for a managed instance server, go to the Azure portal, click the instance, and click Reset password. You can also use PowerShell or the Azure CLI.

    MS SQL CMDS :

    Create SQL Login :

    CREATE LOGIN AbolrousHazem
        WITH PASSWORD = '340$Uuxwp7Mcxo7Khy';

    Create DB User :

    CREATE USER AbolrousHazem FOR LOGIN AbolrousHazem;
