Traffic Manager RRS feed

  • Question

  • so far traffic manager looks really good but I feel there is some to improve.

Having used Rackspace load balancing cloud services and amazon route 53 I felt it time to give traffic manager ago.

Is it possible to set-up performance with fail over? e.g.

A performance profile for different regions i.e. US / UK / EU / ROW with fail over in each region e.g.

Would this be set-up as a performance / round robin profile with availability groups set-up set-up on the hosted service for availability?

Would be great if performance / round robin had fail over option when all servers in the hosted service are down e.g. a static URL on a CDN to a sorry we are offline.

So fair looks good and hope to see it improving over time.

    keep up the great work.

  • Hi,

The Performance and Round Robin load-balancing methods already include endpoint monitoring and automatic failover (failing endpoints are automatically taken out of DNS rotation).

I hope this answers your concern.
