Sorry for delay in reply.
As far as I know, dbmdl file is effectively a temporary copy of the schema model and is created when a project is opened. I'm sorry that there is not an appropriate method to ignore it currently. If we remove it, we may get some errors because the dbmdl
file may contains some references. For more info

this site or Help-> Send feedback -> Provide a Suggestion in SSDT, then post this suggestion to product team, and share the link here. Other community members who are interested in it will help you vote it.
