Coding Standards & Best practices for Programming in SharePoint 2010

    Question

  • Hi,

Last few weeks ago, I started learning SharePoint 2010 by myself, and now I'm into coding.

Having started coding in SharePoint, I see that we have several approaches to accomplish a task, like getting a list instance, or getting a Web instance,..etc.

As I have already told that I'm learning SP programming all by my own, I would like to know the best practices & coding standards for programming, so that the basics learnt in the early stages of programming will be paid better off in the future.:)

I know that this is a pretty vague question to be posted here in forums, but at the same time I feel that this thread would be long running and helpful to all those new comers like me...:)
