Visual Studio Missing BI Templates RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have installed SQL Server 2014 on a lap top with Windows 10.  I then downloaded SSDT for Visual Studio 2013 and installed it.  When opening up VS and going to create a new project the BI templates are not there.  I have validated the installation of SSDT:

I am unsure what I am missing or if the issue is Windows 10.  Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks!

  • SSDT-BI is a separate install for VS 2013 than SSDT.  See https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=42313.

  • Thanks Dan.  I hate when I get stumped by the obvious.

  • I wouldn't say obvious.  It will be great once SSDT includes both BI and SQL Server templates, as it does in the VS 2015 SSDT preview.
