  • Hi .

Approve comments filed is kind of a task form field . If you want get these fields value follow this:

    • Click on Approval(1) to edit the task process.
    • Click on Change the behavior of a single task .
    • Define a workflow variable .
    • Add a Set workflow variable in "When a task completes" section .
    • Click on value and select "Current task:Approve(1)" as data source .
    • Is field from source drop downlist you can see all the task form fields .
    • Choose your field and click OK .

Now you have the value of your filed in a variable .

    I hop it's useful for you .

    Good luck.

  • Hi .

you should create new task form fields . You can achieve this in SharePoint designer:

      • Add a workflow for a List.
      • Add a ‘Start Approval Process’ action in the workflow.
      • Click on ‘these users’ to add the approvers.
      • Click on Approval(1) to edit the task process.
      • Add a new task form field named what you want for the tasks .( Add a task form field here will automatically create the field in the list).
      • Remember to publish the workflow before use it.
    Good luck .

  • Hi

I have a similar requirement.  I take it I can' t take the default task form in InfoPath in my  2010 reusable workflow and somehow publish the Comments field so that I can capture in my workflow as

Set Approval Status with comment  ( here I was pass in the reviewers comments) even if it might have embeded html tats

If I have to create a custom workflow task is there any guidance I should follow
