Power BI License

Question

Hi,
First of all. I do not know where else to post this question, so please be patient. If I am in the wrong forum, please point me elsewhere WHERE I WOULD BE ABLE TO GET AN ANSWER
My question is:
Where on earth would I be able to get a license for Power BI on Office 365 E3 subscription at this point in time?
It is trying to tell me to log in with another account as well. But my Partner/MSDN login is not linked for some reason to my Office 365 E3 subscription. Please can this be sorted out or can someone explain to me how to get this resolved. It cannot be this difficult.

Hi Pieter,
Power BI for Office 365 is still under preview and you will need a promotion code from Microsoft in order to activate the power BI app which you installed in your O365 sharepoint portal.
You can follow the following step by step document to configure power bi for your O365 portal once you have the promotion code.
http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=317870
The promotion code will be emailed by Microsoft once you have subscribe to the Power BI for 0365 preview

Hope this helps !!!

Hi Parikshit,
Thank you for the answer. At last some understanding. Can someone not go put this explanation on the Office 365 store where Power Bi is made available?
If there were a proper explanation like yours I would not have spent hours trying to figure out why it wasn't working. My consulting hours are precious enough to me without having to run around trying to find simple answers.
But once again, thank you very much for clearing this up.
Regards,
Pieter

Hi
I'm having the same problem.
How do i get or enable this "Power BI for Office 365 Licence"
In the app licence management settings on Sharepoint it looks like I have the correct rights.
It says "This app has been purchased for everyone in your organization. Everyone can use this app."Regards,

Hi,
According to the description, the issue seems to be related to Power BI for Office 365, for quick and accurate answers to your questions, it is recommended that you initial a new thread in our Power BI forum for further discussion.

Hi Tracy,
been there done that. There is a forum for power bi, yes, but no general area where i can ask a licence question.
I tried power map before, but it's futile. I will try again and suggest a chance to their forum groupings.
i've also logged a question through our office 365 subscription yesterday, i'll be...patient
i cannot understand why the simplest of questions can be so impossible to get answered

Hi again,
Before I step of this issue totally, I would like to know from someone, if it is at all possible for us as Partners to get a promotional code asap. Not sure how this gets assigned or passed along.
Is there not a review group or something that we can be part of to see what the capabilities are?
We are keen and avid Microsoft BI partner consultants but can only sit and wonder what Power BI is going to be like. Or is everybody in the dark?
Regards,
Pieter
