MS Access Chart formatting programmatically RRS feed

  • I have a Table called Revenue_Sum which always contains twelve rows with two columns as Month and Sum as shown below. I would like to display those records in chart with different format [color] programmatically. say -

     

    Jan - Red

    Feb-REd

    MAr - green

    -----------

    -------------

    with the help of code!

  • Hi,

    What your looking to do will depend on how you create the graph.

    If you add all your data to one series (of a bar chart) then you won't be able to change the colour of the individual bars. They are all treated like one.

    If on the other hand you plot each row to a seperate series then you can change the colour of each individual bar.

    The chart object in Access is the same as the chart object in Excel. There might be some changes but basically they are the same component. It means if you look online for Excel examples of changing a series colour (or even record a macro) then you should have an idea of how to do it.
