  • Hi,

I would like to confirm a few things with you:

    1. Is there any error message in your site when you upload the 220MB file?

    2. What is the type of the file? Can you upload the file to your site in classic experience?

    3. What’s your IE version? Can you upload the file with another browser like Chrome?

A few things you can check for basic troubleshooting:

    1. Make sure your library hasn’t reached the total size limit. You can upload the file to newly created library and see the result.

    2. Navigate to Central Administration > Application Management > Select web application > General Settings > General Settings and then change the number under “Maximum Upload Size” into a larger one. The default upload size is 250 MB.

  • Hi,

Does this happen when you upload other files, such as a smaller word document? Do you have trouble opening documents from document library?

You can increase Time-out settings in IIS and see if it works.

In addition, I suggest you check the ULS logs on your server when trying to upload a document. You can also check the Event Viewer for potential error messages.

The default location for SharePoint Server 2019 ULS logs is:

    C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\16\LOGS
