    I am trying to set up sending email from a personalized domain from

    I have a family microsoft 365 subscription which supports this feature

    I am not able to add my personal domain name to my account.  I think that the problem is that the domain may already be a 'domain tenant' with microsoft from previous software trials.

    I have tried to sort this out with microsoft support, but this is outsourced to logmein and the assumption is that I am doing something incorrectly when I know that the problem is at the microsoft end and needs an administrator to un-associate my domain name so it is free for me to use.  I can prove I own the domain. Any suggestions as to how to go about this? As I am not a business I only have access to the home support team, who don't appear to understand the above issue.
