  • Question

  • Hi,

    Can someone please guide me the below requirement.

    1. Configure the SharePoint enterprise search in SharePoint Online.

    2.The search should query the data only from a specific list.

    3. If i click the result link it should display in tab format like 4 tabs each display different fields values from the one list item in the list.

    Suppose if a list contains 12 filed columns if i click on search result link out of 4 each tab should display 3 field values from the listitem

    Thanks

  • Hi Rajesh Kumar V S N K,

    To achieve your requirement, you could create a page and add the search box web part and search result web part in the page.

    Then edit the search result web part->change query->add the query text as below->save changes.

    {searchboxquery}

    path:https://yoursite/sites/sitename/lists/listname

    For the third point, I am afraid we cannot achieve it by OOB method.

    Best regards,

  • Hi Rajesh Kumar V S N K,

    If you create a page and add search box web part and search result web part, it comes as normal search.

    And the “normal search” and the “enterprise search” search the same content and show the same search results.

    For search result, there is no difference between normal search and enterprise search.

    If you want to use the enterprise search, you should create the enterprise search center.

    Then you could edit the result page->edit search result web part->change query->add the query text as below->save changes. It will only return the result from one list.

    {searchboxquery}

    path:https://yoursite/sites/sitename/lists/listname
