Replace the Straight Quotes to Curly Quotes RRS feed

  • Hi all! Nice to be here. I have a question.

    I want to replace the straight quotes by curly quotes in my selected words. Could you please help me make a macro for this? I do need your help~

  • A simple Find/Replace with:

    Find = "
    Replace = "

    should suffice.

    That said, check Word's 'AutoFormat' and 'AutoFormat as you Type' options to ensure the "Straight quotes" with “Smart Quotes” option is checked for both.

  • Thanks for your reply. By the way, I don't want to replace all the quotes but only the quotes in my selected words. Can it be achieved?

  • Simply select the words concerned before doing the Find/Replace with 'Replace All', then cancel when Word asks if you want to continue.
