How to set data for lookup column only display data belong to their agency only? RRS feed

  • Hello,

    I have Lookup table column Agency and Sub Sector. How to set user is able to select data in Agency and Sub Sector based on Department ( User profile)?

    How did you create the Lookup column? Which list is the column's source from?

    Is there any relationship between the column and User Profile or user information list?

    If possible, please provide your steps to reproduce this issue.

    My Lookup Column is from custom list. How to configure relationship between the column and User Profile.

    FYI, there is Active Directory group in SharePoint group .

    For your requirement, there is no OOB way to do that.

    As a workaround, I suggest you use JavaScript code to get the user profile and filter the lookup columns based on the department.
