Custom list based on external content type RRS feed

  • Hello.

    I want to create a custom list based on external content type. That is set how this will look by myself. I thought about Visual Studio. Are there any "not app" samples custom list based on external content type solution?

  • You can use SharePoint Designer as well to do it.

    When you say 'not app' are you referring to app in SharePoint 2013 or tool to create custom list?

    For example, i need to group elements by one column but group name must be another column

  • You can very well create external content-types in Visual Studio 2010.

    I'm not sure what are you looking specifically with respect to creating external content-types using visual studio 2010

  • Basically are you saying you will have content Type created and have a list of columns defined within the content type. You want to display the main content type as a column?
