Set appointment as an all day event RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have been able to successfully set the start and end time for an appointment in Compose, but haven't been able to figure out how to set the appointment as an all day event.

    Here is the code I am using to set the start/end time:

    		var startTime = new Date("7/16/1973");
    		var options = {
    		 // Pass information that can be used
    		 // in the callback
    		asyncContext: {verb:"Set"}};

    		//Office.cast.item.toItemCompose(Office.context.mailbox.item).subject.setAsync("Hello world!");
    		Office.cast.item.toAppointmentCompose(Office.context.mailbox.item).start.setAsync(startTime, options, function(result){
    		if (result.error)
    			{
    				app.showNotification(result.error);
    			}
    		else
    			{
    			// Access the asyncContext that was passed to the setAsync function
    			app.showNotification("Start Time " + result.asyncContext.verb);
    			}
    		});

    I looked through https://dev.office.com/reference/add-ins/outlook/Office.context.mailbox.item, but still don't see any way to set a property on the appointment to flag it as an all day event.

    What am I missing?

    As you have found, there is no such property in Outlook add-ins, and I think it is not supported at current.

    If this is a new feature you want to include in the future, I would suggest you submit a feedback in the link below:
