We have a MOSS 2007 site which has a form library with Infopath 2007 template and forms. We would like to move this Infopath 2007 forms/template to a SharePoint 2013 site. Can you please help me with steps on how I can do this?
First, unless you are using a third party tool there is no way to directly migrate 2007 to 2013. You have to first migrate 2007 to 2010 and then 2010 to 2013. I recommend using the database migration path for each.
Having said the above, in your 2007 farms web application, save the list as a template. This will save the form as well. Copy the list template (STP) file to the 2013 farm and create a new list. You should now see the new form.
BEFORE ADDING the template to the 2013 farm
Ensure Infopath form services is setup correctly via central admin.
Make sure you have the state service running.
Ensure you have the customer experience feature activated from where ever you are deploying from.
Re-configure all data connections in the form, where possible.
Hope this helps!
