New promoted results not showing in Modern Search RRS feed

  • Question

  • My new promoted links are showing up fine in classic search results, but not in modern search. This is new behavior, they have been showing up in both right after I create them. Is anyone else seeing this behavior? something going on with this feature?

  • Hi HeidiSee,

Whether you create query rule via SPO admin center?

When you create a promoted result at the organization level, users can see it in both search experiences. In the modern search experience, users only see promoted results on the All tab on the search results page and only when they search across all of SharePoint.

If you search from a team site, the search scope will be at a site level, you could click Organization to get the promoted result.
