How to integrate SharePoint Online and Onpremise

HI All,

We have both SharePoint Online and On-premise environment. Now, In SP Online we have a list, workflow attached to it. Once the WF finished successfully, we need to create an item in on-premise site. How to achieve this?

No, I am stuck. Planning to use on premise data gateway tool and I dont know whether that tool is free or not.
