Change IE mode to IE 11 in sharepoint 2010 site pages RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I have created an application in Sharepoint 2010 using site pages and added content editor webparts to that pages,

My functionality and UI is working properly in Google chrome.

But since SP 2010 IE mode is 8 by default my UI is not proper and Custom js functionalities are not working.

If i change to IE 11 in master page UI and other custom functionalities are working fine but sharepoint list form submission is failing with unexpected error.

So now am planning to apply IE 11 mode only to  my site pages but there also if i add this tag   <meta http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible" content="IE=11"/> below placeholdermain or placeholderhead it is not accepting and changing the UI.

Please reply with some solution to fix this.

    Thanks,

    Poovi

  • Hi,

We doesn't suggest you use the IE11 and Chrome.

Because IE11 and Chrome doesn't support many features.

In order to give you the best experience, we suggest you use the SharePoint via IE10.

    Best Regards,
