Customer wants to cancel app subscription but says Microsoft isn't helping her RRS feed

  • Hello,

    I have an app in the Office store and a customer signed up for the subscription. It turns out that the app didn't meet her needs and she wanted to cancel. She is writing to me with her tales of woe about Microsoft not being able to cancel her subscription. I told her I didn't think I could do it but it has been going on a while.

    Is this something I have access to on the seller dashboard?

  • This forum is for questions about the development of apps for office which would presumably include the developer's experience in placing the app in the store.

    You gave me a nice link for the customer to report her problem.

    My question as a developer is; can I cancel customer subscriptions myself?

    Note the line on my original post "Is this something I have access to on the seller dashboard?"

  • The seller "experience" is very basic - unfortunately we cannot issue refunds.  We don't even have access to the names or email addresses of purchasers!  I also have no idea either how to cancel a subscription, but my app is not subscription based.  I imagine they can probably cancel a subscription from either their Microsoft Account page or their My App page: https://store.office.com/en-US/myapps.aspx
