SharePoint provider hosted apps Context class RRS feed

  • Hi,

    I want to create a Provider hosted apps for SharePoint on-premise but when I dot it, it miss SharePointContext.cs and others files like this one.

    I don't developp from server but from my computer, I have installed office tools , WIF SDK etc... and I use visual studio professional 2015.

    Any idea ?

    I have fully uninstall Visual studio Professional 2015, I have re-install it without any change  and now it works....

    Have you configured the app environment in your on premises environment properly? It would be better if you can provide the steps in details about how you setup the environment and create the app project, it will make others easier to research on this issue.

  • Hi Patrick,

    I think the problem comes from Windows Identity Foundation, i'm on windows 7 and i don't see it in "turn on features.." I have a computer on Windows 10 and this feature appears, when I disable it, I have the same problem.

    I can't install WIF on my Windows 7 computer, it says KB974405 is already installed.

    Do you have an idea how to proceed ? It seems that this feature is needed for the SharePoint template.

    If this is the case, I would suggest you open a new thread about how to install WIF on Windows 7 OS, community there should be more familiar with this issue:
