Task Constraint Type RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi

How do I report on Task Constraint type using Odata?

There is nothing in the PWA OData Task Table. I wanted to get a list of constraint types in schedule.

I tried creating a task level custom field, but that throws an exception.

    Thank you,

    SJ

  • Hi, you are right that the field does appear in the odata feed, but it is possible to use an Enterprise Custom Field to capture the data at the task level. The formula should be a text value and = [Constraint Type].  The values are 0 - 7 as per the attached screen shot.

Once in Odata you can of course visualise it, and use Power Query to convert the text values of 0 - 7 back to the names you see in Project.

  • Hi Ben,

Thank you very much for your response.

Will this work with Deliverable Type also?

    Thank you,

    SJ

  • Hi, I suspect so, there's only one way to find out of course.
