User trying to save excel spreadsheet - getting `upload error' RRS feed

  • One of our users constantly updates an excel spreadsheet saved in our on-prem sharepoint intranet site. Very recently she's started getting `locked out' type errors when attempting to save the spreadsheet...

    `upload failed, your file wasn't uploaded because your changes cant be merged with changes made by someone else' - however she is the only one working on it.

    Excel version: 1907 (Build 11901.20176)

    SharePoint 2007(!)

    Anyone seen this before?

  • Hi Butlin,

    Delete the Cache in Office Upload Center and check whether you can save or not.

    Does the issue occurs only with specific file?

    If YES, I suggest you copy the data in the problematic Excel file and paste it in new Excel workbook for working and check whether it works.
