Define Workflow Lookup RRS feed

    Hi all,

     

    I've created a workflow in sharepoint designer which assigns an approval task to a user. The task has two fields - approval status and comments.

     

    I have followed the define workflow lookup steps here http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/sharepointdesigner/HA102098081033.aspx 

     

    And the actual flow of my workflow works perfectly - if approved does one thing, if rejected does another - so I know that I've followed the above steps correctly.

     

    However, I want to get the comments field to appear in an email to the end user - I have set up as per the correct steps and all is fine yet when I run the workflow I don't get the comments - all I get is ?????????

     

    Does anyone have any idea what I might be doing wrong or can someone direct me to a blog which tells me how to do this so I can check?
