Unnumbered rows in excel spreadsheet

  • I use excel to job cost invoices from our suppliers.  I think that the problem starts when i copy and insert rows as more invoices come in - further down I will suddenly find very large rows with no numbers, sometimes displacing my totalling columns.  Please tell me how to fix this, I've already made sure that the cut/copy/sort inserted objects with parent cells is on.

  • Hi AMI-MT,
    Thank you for posting.
    Could you give more details about your problem? For example:

    1. What is the version of your Excel application?

    2. How did you insert the rows to your existing worksheet? Did you insert the rows programmatically? If so, could you show us some code snippet?

    3. If you use VBA code, you can use the Insert method to insert the rows into worksheet, eg:

    Sub Macro1()
    ' Macro1 Macro
        Selection.Insert Shift:=xlDown, CopyOrigin:=xlFormatFromLeftOrAbove
        Selection.Insert Shift:=xlDown, CopyOrigin:=xlFormatFromLeftOrAbove
    End Sub

    Hope this can give you some hint and just feel free to follow up after you have tried.
