Disable new differential sync feature for OneDrive client

Question

For a couple of weeks/months the OD client is syncing using the new differential sync feature 

(see here https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/roadmap?filters=&searchterms=33412 )

Does anybody know if this can be disabled in Sharepoint Online/OneDrive Online? I have had a look at the group policies as well (to configure the OD client), but so far haven't found anything.
