Using HTTPS web service via VBA RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I could not find the earlier forum for Office 2003 and hence the question to this forum.

I am currently using Office 2003 and accessing Java based webservices using SOAP. This communication takes place over HTTP and we need to shift to HTTPS.

I currently have MSXML 2.0 installed which I use for this.

Can someone please help me understand how my calls will change if the web service is on HTTPS (on a secure layer)? How can I do these calls from VBA?

Do I need to make any specific changes to my current code?

    Thanks in advance.

  • Hello Pranav,

The codes should be same as you call HTTP web services. I see some discussion about this,

So I think we can head up and see if there come any issues to resolve.

  • Hi,

Thanks for the link, however I would like to test this before I could confirm the exact way of using HTTPS. I am planning to test my code base in next couple of weeks.
