  • which form you are referring to?

When you configure alert, Email is sent to To field person(s). Please clarify which form TO field you are talking about. Thanks

  • i'm using an application template to create this site. The template name is "Compliance Process Support Site".

and the form i use is Control Issues form. When a user would like to post an issue, he/she would complete the form, including select person to assign (on Assigned To field).
am i able to send notification to people who are mentioned in the Assigned To field only?

because, if i'm using alert, all people who subscribes to alert will receive notification. I don't want to do that.
Similar to email, email just goes to the people who are mentioned in To, CC, or BCC field only.

    thanks, i hope that's clear enough.. :)

  • On the Advance List Setting Page, you have an option to set Email Notification Like following

    "
    E-Mail Notification

Send e-mail when ownership is assigned or when an item has been changed.
    "

If this does not satisfy your requirement,  You may utilize workflow or write event handler to meet your need.

  • Hi,
I would use a workflow for this, and then you have three basic options:
    1) Use SharePoint designer to create a Workflow
    2) Use the built-in Three-State Workflow and configure it after your needs
    3) Build a custom Workflow using Visual Studio.
Which one to choose depends on if you have to reuse or customize your solution.

  • This is the wrong forum for Workflow questions.

There is a *SharePoint -Workflow* forum for them.

    Moving this thread there.
