Embedded images in Access 2016 not displaying

Question

Is there a fix yet for this please? I know it is possible to link the images, and, in addition, change the Size Mode to Stretch, but I have hundreds of embedded images and, if there is no fix, I will have to go back to the Office 365 2013 offering.
With best wishes

Hello Deepak
Yes, thank you, the problem has been solved. I was instructed in the Office 365 community forum to switch our subscription to First Release. This has allowed click-to-run Office to update to a version in which the picture problem has been fixed.
I appreciate your help
With best wishes

Hi, AnthonyMA
>> First I want to confirm with you how you have embedded images in your access database?

Hello Deepak
To answer your questions: the Picture Type is Embedded; the Picture shows "logo.jpg" and clicking on the three dots shows the path; the images are displayed on reports; the image is contained within an image control.
You will see hundreds of complaints, if you search for them, about what Access 2016 has done to embedded images. What I can't find is a fix, which is worrying given that the first complaints started emerging in September 2015. Is it possible that this just isn't going to be fixed?

Deepak, the .picture stuff has also stopped working eg Me.imgChild.Picture = cnPhoto & strPhoto does not result in a photo being displayed in a report in Access 2016 whereas it does in Access 2013. Is this a referencing issue for 2016 or is Access 2016 just not usable for databases dealing in extensive use of images?Tuesday, April 5, 2016 11:45 AM

Hi,
it's not clear if you don't have installed the usual fix for the 2016 picture bug or if your problem persists despite the fix being installed.

Hello Karl
I saw references to this fix and downloaded it. However, when I ran it, I got "There are no products affected by this package on this system."

I now realise that hotfixes are not supported by click-to-run packages. However, the update facility shows the product as up to date (version 16.0.6001.1068), yet the image problem remains.Tuesday, April 5, 2016 3:09 PM
