Problem while executing 32-bit linux binary files using ubuntu bash shell(WSL) on 64-bit Windows10 system. RRS feed

  • Hello,

I am using ubuntu bash in Windows10 system using WSL(Windows Subsystem for Linux)

(The system H/W and Windows10 are 64-bit system)

I'm trying to execute 32-bit linux binary files on bash, but I can't.

In real 64-bit ubuntu system, I can execute 32-bit binary files after installing ia32-libs library. (or recently, lib32z1, lib32ncurses5, lib32bz2-1.0 is applicable instead of ia32-libs library)

So, I installed those libraries on Windows10's ubuntu bash using "apt-get install".

But I still cannot execute 32-bit binary files. Same error message is printed.

Error message: "bash: ./arm-fsl-linux-gnueabi-gcc: cannot execute binary file: Exec format error"

     - "arm-fsl-linux-gnueabi-gcc" is the 32-bit binary file that I am trying to execute.

Is there any one who can solve this problem?
