IE 11 is not showing a C# calendar RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi. I have made a form in C# with a simple calendar control from C#. The IE 11 will show the calendar but I am not able to pick any date. The problem is new in IE 11. The problem is causing our customers great troubles. Does anyone know how to fix this or will IE 11 later on be updated eliminating this problem? The form is to be found at https://www.tolketjenesten.com/order/bestil-en-tolk.aspx. You need to scroll a bit in order to find the calendar. Once you're there you will not be able to pick any date.

Any help will be highly appreciated!

  • Your webpage is sniffing the browser's User-Agent string. If you use the F12 tools to send the IE10 UA string, the page works fine. If you use Fiddler to compare the traffic, you can see that when the browser sends the IE11 User-Agent string, your server strips ALL of the script out of the HTTP response.

Your code is relying on ASP.NET's built-in User-Agent / Browser Capabilities features, so you need to install the latest hotfix so that it recognizes IE11 can execute script.

  • Hi Eric. Thank you for your answer. I tried my best but I couldn't make it work also not with an IE10 UA string. Might be that my programming skills are too poor becourse I guess that you are right. // Lars
