We have a file (you can test with a pdf file), and
1) open in IE9 with ActiveX control;
2) click Print preview...
3) close the preview
4) click Print
5) the print dialog pop up with the parent window Print Preview, the Print Preview window display with blank content
6) select a folder to print; then a script error dialog pops up;
7) click Yes, an empty file is print out.
Why the print preview pops up when print? Is it the IE9's bug? Will you fix it?
Does the error caused by the blank print preview dialog?
How do I process with the blank print preview and the Script error?
Please give me some suggestions.
I don't use the embedded Adobe PDF reader.
Start>Search.... Adobe Reader x>Edit>Preferences>Internet, uncheck "Display PDF in browser"
There are several PDF readers available. You have not mentioned which one you are using or the details of the script error you received or the security zone where the PDF document is launched from.
Adobe PDF Reader supports scripting. It is up to Adobe to make their products IE9 compatible. A web search will reveal to you the issues surrounding scripting in PDF documents.
