Programatically Disabling Javascripting in IE8 RRS feed

  • Question

  • We have a VB6 program (XP machine) in which we disable programmatically the execution of Javascripts by setting the Intranet Security Zones in Windows.  This programs interacts with IE6 as the web browser.  We have installed IE8 on the XP machine now and this has caused this code not to function as expected (does not turn off the javascript code execution).  I would like to know what are the differences between IE6 and IE8 in this respect (Security Zone Settings) and what has changed that causes the code not function properly any more.  And, is there any other new way in IE8 to do the same thing?
