IE7.0 bug RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi

    I am using a javascript, which hides some contents of a page on a particular selection. When i go to the next page and come back to the previous page by clicking browser's back button, the hidden contents display again. This does not happen in IE6.0.

    function reportTypeChange(fName)
    {
        var rptTypefld = eval("document"+ "." + fName + "." + "reportType");

        if(rptTypefld.value == 4
           || rptTypefld.value == 3
            || rptTypefld.value == 5)
        {
            document.getElementById('hideTable').style.display='none';
        }
        else
        {
            document.getElementById('hideTable').style.display = 'block';
        }
    }

    where hide Table is the id for the table to be hide.

    can you please suggest some solution for this problem?

    Thanks and Regards

    Lavee

  • well..thankfully i find out the solution for this problem..

    actually on going back with browser's back button its not retaining the state of the variable.

    previously i m firing the evant by using onChange attribute.But the onchange event does not fire when the selected option of the select object is changed programatically or manually. So i fired the event by using attribute onPropertyChange. It does not commit the changes.

    -cheers!!!
