IE9 Enhanced Security Configuration

  • Hi,

This might not have much to do with this forum, but i'm not sure where to post this question.

I'm using IE9 and Windows 7.  In IE i get this "Internet Explorer Enhanced Security Configuration is enabled."  Now I know how to disable this on a server, but what about Windows 7??? This is really stumping me.

Any help, links etc would be much appreciated!  Thanks!

  • IEESC does not support Windows 7. It is designed to protect Windows Servers. if you get errors related to IEESC in client OS, report the IE forum on

  • For rsome eason I was not able to turn off IEESC on my windows server 2008 R2, even though the server manager setting shows it off. I got so fed up with it that i had to go back to IE8.
