Is BizTalk 2020 the Last Dance on-premise prodution? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi there,

I heard that BizTalk 2020 is the last on-premise BizTalk product.
There will be no new versions in the future.
    Is this true?

  • I've heard the same rumors as far back as BizTalk 2006.  I've seen no official word about the subject from Microsoft.

    Thanks for your reply.

I heard from customers and Microsoft notified them of this news.
But I cannot find such information.
That's why I wanted to ask if anyone can confirm this news.

  • With Microsoft there is always the fear that they'll abandon a product.  They are pushing cloud and Logic Apps, but currently Logic Apps are not a replacement for BizTalk, and there are plenty of organisations that do not want to move to the cloud. BizTalk 2020 will receive updates for the next five years, and security patches for a further five years.

    Thanks for your reply.

I know they are now pushing Azure and Logic Apps.

Currently, Logic Apps has no way to replace BizTalk.

But it seems to be to let customers use Azure and inform that there will be no new version of BizTalk.

That’s why I want to confirm whether there will be no new version of BizTalk.

Or is it just a commercial approach to promote Azure.
