  • Hi, I just received 1 of the Win10 update e-mails and when trying to follow the link it appears to be broken, however pasting the same link into Chrome works fine--- the link is

    .....click.email.microsoftemail.com/?qs=06cf78cbff55a52ab8fd49da0d48304e5e36450b7730105254323a08d77dfecebc1552ed51ffaafeeb2f15d5d4b06d2c

  • Hi Tips,

the busy MS Edge team frequent the following stackoverflow forum.

    http://stackoverflow.com/questions/tagged/microsoft-edge

can you please repost your question there? Can you include with your question, the name/web address of the email client you are using.

Have you tried copying and pasting the link directly into the MS Edge and/or the IE11 browser...

the click.email.microsoftmail.com is a click through link, that may be being blocked by Tracking protection or if you have Microsoft.com in your IE Trusted sites security zone. Links embedded in emails in a windows mail client are mapped to the Internet zone. There is a security zone setting to "Prevent navigation into a zone of lower integrity"... that may be the cause. Chromium does not have the same granular security zone model that Trident browsers use... Generally home users do not need to add sites to the IE Trusted Sites list... It is mostly used by Enterprise customers for B2B commerce when it is known that a party is using less secure content (ActiveX and plugins) but they are trusted...

    Regards.
