Protected Plugin Javascript RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am writing a plugin for IE in C# and need to have my javascript protected from the main pages javascript. However I want full access to the documents dom and have the ability to register events on the document elements.   Basically I want to use something like jquery and have it think it is on the real page but keep its javascript environment separated from the main pages javascript environment so that there can be no chance of namespace issues in variable names and to protect my script from the pages script.    Google Chrome does this with background pages and content pages and I wanted to know if there was any way to do this in an IE plugin.

Anyone have any pointers that I can look at to do this?
