Change/delete auto-suggest for ONE URL / eleminate an auto-suggest option in Explorer 7? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Is it possible to eleminate the auto-suggest function (the function tthat creates a drop-down menu of previous choices for form boxes on some internet sites) for only one site without deleting all the other auto-suggest?  Also, is it possible to just delete some of the auto-suggest options presented in a form box?  THANKS -

Answers

  • 1 ask the site to deliver the forum via HTTPS and add a header or meta tag that prevent caching, or set autocomplete to off in the input tag. Your ability to access the input tag is subject to IE's scripting security policy
2 ask the user to press delete when mouse over the drop down list.
