  • Hi Sri Krishna K U N,

Extensions are developed to enhance the feature and functionality of Internet Explorer.

It should be limited to the environment of Internet Explorer and it should not do any other tasks like accessing or changing the data outside Internet Explorer with in system.

Your requirement is to access the system properties and modify the registry settings.

It looks like it is outside the scope of the IE extension.

So it looks like it is not possible to do that with IE extension.

You can try to refer article below may help you.

  • In this, they accessed a registry value by using ActiveX. But they didn't describe how they have done.
