Events triggered in BHO when user drags a tab/frame RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi, I have developed a BHO for IE11. It is very sensitive to handles of each frame/tab. When a user drags a frame/tab away from the window, IE creates a new window, but I can't find any events that will be triggered. Please help with this matter.

    Best regards

  • Hi,

setSite has already been fired when the tab was created. As far as a bho is concerned, nothing has changed. setSite won't be fired.

You could use the spy++ tool to examine the iexplore.exe process hierarchy.

Uses can drag tabs to change their tab position, or they can drag and 'tear' a tab to create a new window.

    Regards.

  • Yes, I know.

I was asking if somebody knew an event that gets triggered. And there is none involved in dragging. But in the meanwhile I have used ComandStateChange to trigger a compare on browser.HWND, which gets changed when dragging off exisiting tab.
