Hello, Once upon a time someone told me how I could have the IE program somewhere else other than my desktop. For years I enjoyed my desktop without having to look at that big bold blue e. Several months ago, I did a system restore, and IE appeared on my desktop again. I actually put it in my recycle bin and deleted it, thinking it had to be a shortcut, but wasn't. So I had to reinstall it, but then it became a desktop eyesore again. It seems that under the Advanced tab in Internet Options, there used to be an option box to either have or not have IE on the desktop, but if so, no longer so. I tried to drag it into my Start Menu Programs folder, but it only left a shortcut to the program, with the program remaining on my desktop. Also, when I right click to select properties, Internet Options comes up, instead of info about IE, where I hoped would be an option to not have it on the desktop.
Anyway, you get my drift. I appreciate info to solution. Thanks, Larry firstname.lastname@example.orgLarry

I'm not quite sure I understand the problem (seeing as you don't actually ask any questions), but if you want to remove that icon from your desktop, simply select it and hit Delete key. Or right-click and choose Delete from the context menu. -- Igor Tandetnik
