How MSXML2.ServerXMLHTTP post to a web page with current window authentication?

    Question

  • xmlHttp.open("POST", strUrl, false, username, password);

    In my program is classic asp, and using window authentication to sign on. So I don't know how to get the password?

    Or, is there any other ways to resolve it? such as setRequestHeader?

    note, the strURL has the same domain account with the local program.

  • Hi JoeyWang,

     As far as I know, if you have already login the browser will save the username and password as user credential, if you set the right ie setting.

    The user will not need login again.

    Besides, due to browser security, we couldn't get the user password by javascript.

    If you want to get the user name and password, I suggest you should give a textbox for user to type its password.

    Best Regards,

    Brando
