Location Support RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi, I created an account in Microsoft HealthVault and trying to connect with a PHP library HVClientLibPHP. But when i try to authenticate from php application, it redirects to Healthvault site and after login it shows message like this -

    "We're sorry. HelloWorld-SDK is not support in your location."

    How can i solve this? Can i access healthvault data from PHP application?

    Thanks.

  • This isn't language/library specific but related to the location in which your application supports, and the location in which your account is located.  It looks like your application is most likely set to either support healthvault-ppe.com (US) or healthvault-ppe.co.uk (worldwide) and your account is located in the opposite place.

    You can check where your account is by logging into healthvault-ppe.com and then after the login is successful, check the URL to see if it is .com, or .co.uk

  • As I understand it the PHP library currently has data type mappings for the Weight Measurement and File types. You should be able to add support for other HealthVault data types by following the patterns in the PHP SDK for the existing types. Please note the HealthVault team doesn't support this library directly, but you might try connecting with the author: http://mkalkbrenner.github.io/HVClientLibPHP/

  • I had this issue too (I'm developing in the UK).

    Still working through it, but I overcame the initial stumbling block you describe by updating the HVClientLibPHP source files to point to the .co.uk instances of the PPE environment rather than the .com

    e.g. in HVRawConnector.php, on line 231 I changed:

      public static function getAuthenticationURL($appId, $redirect, &$session, $healthVaultAuthInstance = 'https://account.healthvault-ppe.com/redirect.aspx') {

    to

      public static function getAuthenticationURL($appId, $redirect, &$session, $healthVaultAuthInstance = 'https://account.healthvault-ppe.co.uk/redirect.aspx') {
    Hope that helps.
