Fault Tolerance not working RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

    The Fault Tolerance option in the Copy Data component is not working. We had our pipelines running fine till 8-Dec-2019 but since that it is failing. We have selected the Skip and Log Incompatible Rows option. But is failing stating that the target column does not allow DBNULLs. As I stated, this functionality was working till 8-Dec-2019 and no code change has been done since.

  • Hello  Ajinkya ,

    Thanks for the post . From the error it looks like that there is some schema changes on the sink side on 8th Dec , previously it was allowing the NULL for one or columns and that changed . Can you please check and let us know if thats not the case and we will continue investigating .

    Also do shared the complete error message .

    Thanks Himanshu

  • Hi Himanshu,

    The table never allowed NULLs as the column is a foreign key. And shouldn't the fault tolerance part of the copy component reject and log the records that don't adhere to the constraints of the sink?

    The error I am getting is

    { "errorCode": "2200", "message": "ErrorCode=SqlOperationFailed,'Type=Microsoft.DataTransfer.Common.Shared.HybridDeliveryException,Message=A database operation failed. Please search error to get more details.,Source=Microsoft.DataTransfer.ClientLibrary,''Type=System.InvalidOperationException,Message=Column 'KeyID' does not allow DBNull.Value.,Source=System.Data,'", "failureType": "UserError", "target": "Copy data1", "details": [] }
