Hi,
I am trying to install the SQL Server 2008 R2 (the Avaluation version).
There is a problem at the end of installation - an error message;
"The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion".
afterwords there is another simillar error message.
I can see at the services list that only that the problem is with the Analysis service which indeed can not be started.
I had a former installation of sql server 2005 which I removed before this installtion.
I have tried to install it both in SP2 and SP3 enviornment - same results.
you can see a part of the summary installation log and my Machine Properties at the end of this problem description.
I would glad to have a solution for that.
Thanks,
Guy
