Lab Center - קינפוג והגדרות בסביבה בסיסית - סטנדרטית.

שלום רב,

התקנתי סביבה של TFS 2012 ן HYPER-V SERVER 2012 וכמובן VS 2012. כרגע אני לא רוצה לעבוד עם SCVMM.

אני מנסה ליצור ולבדוק מכונות אשר יצרתי ב HYPER-V או לחילופין מכונות שקיימות בשרת VMWARE בסביבת LAB CENTER , סביבה סטנדרטית.

איני מצליח לשייך למעבדה שלי את אותם מכונות וירטואליות , אני מנסה להזין גם כתובת IP או שם מכונה מלא ועדיין המעבדה לא מצליחה לזהות ולאשר את המכונות אשר הוספתי.

במעבדה אני כי רק המכונה המקומית של VS2012 עם ה TEST CONTROLRER נמצאת ברשימת מכונות זמינות.

שאלית היכן בדיוק טעיתי בקינפוג ומהי הדרך שאני צריך להוסיף מכונות משרת HYPER-V או לחילופין VMWARE למעבדה שלי , איני מצליח אפילו בצורה ידנית.

האם פספסתי ולא התקנתי TEST AENT ?

בעצם אני חייב להתקין Agent  על כל מכונה בסביבה סטנדרטית....האם נכון ?

זה אומר כי על כול מכונה חייבים להתקין Agent?

Hello,

Thank you very much for the quick reply. I'll check and tell you.
Is a solution that includes SCVMM can actually save the AGENT installation.
And in fact will facilitate the development and testing machines.

Is there a different way to distribute agents?

you can create a snapshot using SCVMM or lab mgmt for each VM with agent installed, so you don't have to install agent each time

Hi Dan,

Thanks so much on helping me, I managed to create my first standard environment with your help.

However I have one technical issue I have encountered in SCVMM. Which machines can be recognized by Lab-center, Machines in the host list or machines in the library. I can't find a reason why my lab-center don't see any available machine in SCVMM.

- Regarding snapshot with agents , Do you mean each snapshot can behave as independent machine for testing?

Hey Elad, 

In order to add machines to the lab center you need to install test and lab agents on each machine.

You are using the library to deploy a copy of environments that you already stored.

Regarding the snapshot - snapshots are being created in order to restore a machine to certain point, it can be done using SCVMM or the Lab MGT.

You can create a template from existed VM with a lab and a test agent installed and then create more VM's with the same setup - just make sure you will need to reconfigure the agents using different host-name and assign statically each one of them an IP address.

 I'll advise you to install the agents on each machine instead of using templates for clients.
