Expression web on windows 10 and retina display RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi Guys,

I am trying to use expression web 4 on Windows 10, only it appears to have not been updated to handle the 200% scaling one has to set when running windows 10 with a retina monitor. The html pages appear a mess. If I set the scale to 100% they look fine, but everything is too small to work with.

Does anyone know how to resolve this?

  • First, EW will never be updated, so this is a permanent issue.  (Its last update was before such screens were out there.)

You can try changing the scaling per program.  Find your EW4 executable, ExpressionWeb.exe, typically found in C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Expression\Web 4.

Right-click it and select Properties. Click the Compatibility tab.  Click "Change high DPI settings".  Experiment with the options and see what you can do.
