    HI

I'm just trying to create a new app in blend 2.0.
I set my background color with a gradient, but the gradient works just
    horizontaly?
Can I create vertically gradient, because I can't see this option?

    Thank you

Click on the Brush Transform tool and you should see a horizontal arrow
running through the center of your gradient. Adjust the angle of the arrow
by dragging the ends of the arrow. This will set the gradient in the new
    direction of the arrow.
